YOUR QUALIFICATIONS.
– Degree in Software Engineering, Geophysics, Computer Science, or a related field.
– Proficiency in Python.
ESSENTIAL QUALITIES.
– Degree in Software Engineering, Geophysics, Computer Science, or a related field.
– Proficiency in Python. Strong communication skills, with the ability to translate technical geophysical concepts into user-friendly language.
– Ability to work in a team, supporting strategic goals whilst managing your own tasks and projects.
– A proactive and self-motivated attitude, with a keen interest in learning and development.
– A creative and innovative mindset.
DESIRABLE QUALITIES.
– Experience processing one of the following data types: Magnetic, Sub bottom profiler, Side scan sonar, Multi-beam, Seismic Experience with commercial geophysics software suites (especially control via API).
– Experience using python to process geophysical data using the standard shapely / geopandas / rasterio / sqlite stack.
– Experience with version management tools (git).
– Familiarity with frontend and backend web app development. Basic understanding of responsive development and agile methodologies.
– Experience with modern methods including AI, machine learning, GPU programming or processing big data (especially applied to geophysics).
