Job Description

  • Collaboratively drive the department’s established objectives.
  • Oversee the quality of operations throughout the entire tender process, from initial preparation to fulfilling clients’ requirements and concluding the bid submission for both global and regional accounts.
  • Coordinate with relevant stakeholders to assess customer creditworthiness, financial terms, and legal liabilities from a finance and legal perspective.
  • Ensure the proper coordination of procurement activities that necessitate approval from Product and Senior Country Management.
  • Engage with senior management to evaluate and manage opportunities within the pipeline and monitor tender cycle durations for major key accounts and target accounts.
  • Attend customer meetings alongside account owners to comprehend their bidding requirements and key success factors, positively impacting Rhenus’ competitive edge.
  • Lead the efficient transition to Regional Customer Implementation Management for newly acquired customers and businesses.
  • Actively contribute to the enhancement of our tender management procedures by supporting and spearheading initiatives, including but not limited to digitalization efforts and ongoing process reviews.

The Successful Applicant

  • Holds a Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Accumulates a minimum of 7 years of work experience in the forwarding industry, with expertise in Tender/Pricing, including at least 3 years in a pricing leadership role.
  • Demonstrates robust analytical skills, prioritizing results, and maintaining a proactive, detail-oriented, and organized approach.
  • Makes sound decisions, maintains a high level of accountability, acts promptly, and embraces an active, target-driven orientation. Proficient in resource utilization to achieve goals within specified timelines.
  • Self-disciplined, excels in time management, and thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment while efficiently handling multiple tasks.
  • Possesses the capability to work independently and displays a willingness to provide off-shift support when required.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications, particularly in Excel, PowerPoint, and database systems.
  • Fluent in English, both spoken and written, as a mandatory requirement; proficiency in other languages, both spoken and written, is a valuable asset.
  • Prepared for travel and regular on-site visits to clients’ premises as needed.
