ABOUT THE ROLE
KLIM Technologies is seeking a highly motivated Industrial/Product Designer to join our team in Thailand. As a key element of our company strategy, we have a focus on increasing our In-house development capabilities and growing our team. We have 7 brands across various product categories (from outdoor, over kids products and home appliances to gaming) and have recently launched several new products. In this role, you will work closely with the Head of Product Development and our Engineering Team to develop superior products from scratch and take full ownership of new products. It is an exciting opportunity to work on these products in a small team with real-world experience and responsibilities. A part of your work will include but not be limited to e-commerce user centric research, ideation, concept development, rapid prototyping, 3D printing, rendering, CMF and DFMA. Our goal is to help you grow and develop as an Industrial/Product Designer while also contributing to the growth of our company.
By joining us as an Industrial/ Product Designer you will:
- Conduct market research and ideation to develop new product concepts
- Create visualisations through sketching, rapid prototyping and rendering
- Build 3D models using Solidworks, Fusion360 or Rhino
- Communicate ideas, test concepts and gather team feedback
- Be involved in key decision making regarding upcoming products, individual features and visual aspects, and the growth of the design department
You will report to the Senior Product Designer and join the In-House Product Development Department. You will also work in close collaboration with the Product Managers so that you can successfully contribute to the optimization of sourced products. In addition to having a big impact on the outcome of our new products, the goal is that you can progressively grow your skill, productivity and responsibilities.
You will be expected to have
This job will be a right fit for you if:
- You have a bachelor in Industrial Design or Product Design
- You have a great creative mind that is not afraid to think outside the box
- You are passionate about design, style, trends, materials and finishes
- You have strong skills in sketching and paper modelling
- You are able to work with 3D software such as Solidworks, Fusion360, Rhino and Keyshot
- You are able to work with 2D software such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Indesign
- You are curious & eager to learn
- You have a good understanding of manufacturing techniques and product assembly processes
- You are able to work collaboratively in a group and have an innate willingness to dig in and contribute with your team
- You are able to work in a fast-paced environment
- You are detail oriented combined with perfect time management
- You have an appetite for growth
- You are comfortable speaking in English (speaking Chinese is a plus)

Compensation:
- 1150 USD & up based on the profile
- 20 days of paid holiday, and there is a paternity and maternity leave scheme in place.

- Pay-rise policy: 1 every 6 months (up to 5% at each pay rise).
- A yearly bonus based on the company’s performance.
- An individual bonus based on your portfolio’s performance.
- A discretionary yearly budget of 1500 euros to cover your IT expenses and gift your friends and family.
Working Hours:
You can expect a 40-hour weekly workload including daily/weekly meetings.
Bonus:
Once a year there will be a company retreat, most likely on a South East Asian island or in Europe, and all expenses (accommodation, flights, activities, etc.) will be paid for.
